About the Role
Seeking an experienced Temporary A/V technician to support a large University client in Queens, NY. This 2-month position, with potential for extension, involves the setup and operation of audio and video equipment for meetings, presentations, and events.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and operate AV equipment including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing systems, video monitors, recording equipment, and more.
- Set up and operate sound systems for events, ensuring proper sound levels and quality.
- Assist clients in setting up their own equipment and ensuring it works properly.
- Coordinate with clients and event organizers to determine AV needs and requirements.
- Support of Crestron video control devices.
- Diagnose and resolve AV equipment issues on-site.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Conduct tests and evaluations of AV equipment to ensure functionality and performance.
- Provide technical support to clients during events, including assisting with the setup of presentations and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or similar role.
- 2-3 years experience.
- Proficiency with AV equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of Crestron control devices.
- Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
