About the Role

Seeking an experienced Temporary A/V technician to support a large University client in Queens, NY. This 2-month position, with potential for extension, involves the setup and operation of audio and video equipment for meetings, presentations, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and operate AV equipment including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing systems, video monitors, recording equipment, and more.
  • Set up and operate sound systems for events, ensuring proper sound levels and quality.
  • Assist clients in setting up their own equipment and ensuring it works properly.
  • Coordinate with clients and event organizers to determine AV needs and requirements.
  • Support of Crestron video control devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve AV equipment issues on-site.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations of AV equipment to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Provide technical support to clients during events, including assisting with the setup of presentations and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or similar role.
  • 2-3 years experience.
  • Proficiency with AV equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of Crestron control devices.
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
