About the Role

Our team develops algorithms for our real-time bidding platform to help customers run effective advertising campaigns. Many challenges involve scaling deep learning algorithms, handling sparse/noisy data, large output spaces, and meeting strict latency and QPS requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, research, build, and deliver data-focused products.
  • Participate in all aspects of product lifecycle from ideation to productionalization and monitoring.
  • Contribute meaningfully through leading others and raising the bar for the team.
  • Proactively advocate for and drive improvements to team processes and deliverables.
  • Develop solutions from first principles and adapt them to a unique environment.
  • Work with embedded models in always-on production systems.
  • Contribute to discovering client delights and advancing the industry towards openness, transparency, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Learn and innovate new technologies and techniques.

Requirements

  • Sustained track record of significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to complex machine learning projects.
  • Deep understanding of the 'why' behind tasks and anticipation of downstream problems.
  • Broadly skilled data scientist with deep expertise in embedded models in production systems.
  • Product-focused mindset with the ability to contribute to client delight.
  • Confidence and lack of ego, with the ability to advocate for ideas, identify trade-offs, and support teammates.
