About the Role
Major Food Group is seeking experienced PM Pastry Cooks with a strong work ethic to join our team at THE GRILL, upholding the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Create and prepare all pastry items as required by the business
- Prepare, clean, and organize ingredients for use in the kitchen
- Develop new recipe ideas
- Plan the menu of desserts and pastry to complement savory items
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times
- Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients
- Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace
Requirements
- PM availability required
- 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
- Culinary diploma with a concentration in Pastry Arts or equivalent work experience
- Team-oriented and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills
