Responsibilities
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues, implementing long-term solutions.
- Lead or assist in IT infrastructure projects as technical project manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations and procedures.
- Manage IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Administer system-wide configurations such as Group Policy and software deployment.
- Work within a ticketing system, document resolutions, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
- Occasionally work after hours for system maintenance or emergency support.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director.
Requirements
- Possess a valid NYS license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong knowledge of Windows server environments, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
- Solid understanding and interest in IT security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
- High-level understanding of the Windows 365 platform.
- 3–5 years of experience in system administration, troubleshooting, and deployment.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and endpoint management.
- Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, and disaster recovery (Veeam).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Desire and initiative to learn emerging technologies.
- Must follow mandated reporting guidelines.
- Ability to stay cool under pressure and support users with empathy.
- Ability to pivot quickly and recognize what they don’t know.
- Ability to adapt tools, workflows, and mindsets to meet new demands.
- Ability to learn from failures, document them, fix root causes, and share learnings.
- Ability to work in various environments including offices, classrooms, and certified group homes.
- Ability to occasionally travel to alternate locations.
