About the Role

This contract Copilot Engineer role is crucial for establishing and managing governance for Milbank's adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork, and Copilot Studio agents. The engineer will ensure secure and controlled usage across the tenant, including managing agent sharing, risk assessment, data protection, and knowledge transfer to ensure program sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Establish and operationalize agent sharing governance, including tenant-wide restrictions and an exemption request/approval workflow.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive agent inventory with a repeatable risk-scoring model.
• Remediate high-exposure agents, including action-taking agents and those with embedded firm data.
• Implement Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels and DLP across agents and their grounding data.
• Monitor pay-as-you-go Copilot Credits, establish billing policy guardrails, and enable maker adoption.
• Configure and maintain agent access, sharing, publishing, and lifecycle governance.
• Govern Copilot Studio agents, including Managed Environments, environment routing, and connector/DLP policies.
• Build and maintain the tenant agent registry, risk-scoring custom actions, data-source scope, and sharing breadth.
• Baseline, prioritize, and remediate high-exposure agents, reporting progress to IT leadership.
• Align agent controls with firm confidentiality and client/matter obligations.
• Produce maker guidance, guardrails, standards, runbooks, and documentation.
• Support Desktop Experience and AI Solutions on agent access and adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra administration.
• Recent, demonstrable focus on Copilot and/or Power Platform governance.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 Copilot (Copilot Control System).
• Experience building and governing agents in Copilot Studio and Agent Builder.
• Proficiency with Power Platform admin center: Managed Environments, DLP/connector policies, and environment strategy.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels and data loss prevention.
• Experience operationalizing controls and lifecycle processes at scale.
• Automation skills with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Excellent documentation, stakeholder communication, and knowledge-transfer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Cowork and/or Microsoft Agent 365.
• Familiarity with ethical walls, matter security, pay-as-you-go metering, and Copilot Credits.
• Prior experience in a law firm, professional services, or another regulated, confidentiality-sensitive environment.
• Familiarity with ethical walls is a plus.
