About the Role
This is an entry-level, hands-on role that can help you build invaluable skills related to cardiac monitoring and care. If you are new to the field of EKG/cardiology, or an experienced EKG Technician, this opportunity is for you!
Responsibilities
- Perform quality noninvasive cardiovascular exams to include EKG's, Holter hook-ups, and stress test hook-ups with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols
- Provide for appropriate patient care, safety, education, and a favorable customer service experience during procedures
- Maintain appropriate documentation of patient records, especially in the MUSE System (computer system), to meet operating standards, corporate compliance practices, and/or regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Perform other related operational duties as needed including, but not limited to, transporting patients, office/clerical functions, equipment troubleshooting, maintaining supplies in rooms, and cleaning EKG equipment
- Collaborate and participate in department related projects and/or teams focused on improvement opportunities as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Experience working in a cardiac care setting highly desired
- BLS/CPR Certification required upon hire
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, students, staff, and physicians
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people
- Ability to promote and work in a team setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures
- Computer proficiency skills required
