About the Role

BRAC USA seeks an intern to support the Individual Philanthropy Team's prospecting, solicitation, and logistical efforts to achieve financial targets. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and individual giving programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with database management, including data input, cleaning, and report generation in Salesforce.
  • Support the drafting, proofreading, and sending of gift acknowledgments.
  • Assist with major gift fundraising, including donor research, meeting briefing preparation, and stewardship material development.
  • Conduct prospect research and network with existing donors and board members.
  • Provide support for virtual and in-person events.
  • Offer administrative support for year-end fundraising campaign activities, such as proofreading, printing, and mailing.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduate, or early-career candidate in a relevant field.
  • Preference for rising seniors if a current BA student.
  • A passion for international development and BRAC's mission.
  • Ability to manage tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented (hybrid) environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive team player with a strong desire to learn and flexibility.
  • Excellent research skills and ability to tailor communication for various audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Eligible to work in the United States for any employer.
