About the Role
Under guidance, this role is responsible for the management and supervision of the day-to-day activities of a clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Monitors quality of service through satisfaction surveys, customer comments, and direct observation, recommending strategies for improvement.
- Ensures practice compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Identifies and implements policies, procedures, and best practices for optimal practice performance.
- Reviews and optimizes provider schedules to ensure appropriate fill rates and adequate staffing levels.
- Analyzes appointment wait times and collaborates with leadership and providers to enhance patient access.
- Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to identify and address performance issues.
- Assists with practice reviews focusing on provider efficiency, schedule utilization, coding optimization, charge reduction, and meaningful use.
- Manages disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory audits and internal reviews, developing corrective action plans and serving as a liaison to audit teams.
- Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents, ordering as authorized or escalating needs, and confirming accuracy of received orders.
- Assists with cost control measures.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Approximately 2-4 years of related health care practice management experience.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of third-party professional fee billing.
