About the Role
We are looking for a flexible and motivated Aviation Planner with a genuine passion for the aviation industry and a desire to make a difference in the world. You’ll be involved in a diverse range of aviation projects, supporting planning and design efforts across airfield, terminal, landside, and operational domains.
Responsibilities
- Support planning and design efforts across airfield, terminal, landside, and operational domains.
- Develop master plans, layout plans, facility requirements, and feasibility studies.
- Produce airfield or terminal building spatial planning outputs using data visualization tools.
- Deliver capacity and demand analysis outputs using simulation and modelling tools.
- Manage and supervise project teams, including training junior staff.
- Build and nurture client relationships to identify and secure follow-on work and new prospects.
- Produce accurate technical drawings, impactful presentations, and professional reports.
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture, or planning.
- Experience or academic focus in aviation management or transportation planning is a plus.
- Economics, sustainability, finance, or business-related studies may also be considered.
- Proven experience with aviation planning.
- Demonstrated capability in planning using FAA advisory circulars, TRB ACRP guidelines, and other industry standards.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Competency in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with industry-specific tools such as AviPlan, AirTOP, CAST is desirable.
- Working knowledge of simulation and modelling tools for airfield and terminal.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines, airport operations, and aviation development programs.
- Proactive and with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work across disciplines and on a diverse range of projects.
- Methodical problem solver and critical thinker who takes initiative, and with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to organize, manage, and supervise individual projects and workstreams, including resources across various disciplines.
- Expertise in project and programme management with contractual knowledge and the ability to deliver commercially successful projects.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
