About the Role
API Heat Transfer is seeking talented Design Engineers to support strategic and ongoing customer engagements by providing designs, calculations, drawings, and BOMs for conventional and complex product initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Use ASME code calculations to fulfill complex customer specifications, and develop calculation tools for applications where they do not exist.
- Prepare simple and complex layouts for components and subassemblies, focusing on designing for cost and manufacturability.
- Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, application engineering, and sales to deliver customer projects.
- Support the team with validating output, analysis of results, and other efforts to produce world-class products.
- Contribute to setting project team priorities and provide technical leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to construct project scope and determine costs and manufacturing feasibility.
Requirements
- Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment desired.
- Experience in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel design a plus, specializing in Heat Exchangers preferred.
