About the Role
Position will focus on education of current staff and orientation of new staff to the pediatric ICU. The position includes auditing and is part of the leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Auditing
- Part of the leadership team
- Coaches and mentors staff
- Researches and develops specialty specific practice standards and communicates them to other staff in their area of specialty
Requirements
- Must hold current New York State Registered Nurse registration and certification or eligible for licensure in New York State.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and in-depth knowledge in specialty area.
- Ability to identify problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to probe, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and speak and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be subject to infectious materials and chemicals.
- Access to information is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.
- Use or disclosure shall not exceed the minimum amount of information needed to accomplish an intended purpose.
- Reasonable efforts shall be made to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
