About the Role

Responsible for compliance-related components of internal controls, including regulations, data quality, process design, and communication for an assigned area, under broad supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Implements compliance mechanisms and protocols, internal controls, and regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
  • Measures and monitors compliance to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares compliance reports for management.
  • Supports development of compliance-related training tools and programs.
  • Provides compliance or technical support for business or corporate strategic initiatives.
  • Partners with business units and departments like Internal Audit, IT, and Legal to support compliance accountabilities.
  • Stays current on industry trends and developments.
  • Explains facts, policies, and practices related to compliance.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Good understanding of process development and process improvement techniques and methodologies.
  • Good understanding of project management practices and procedures.
  • Ability to recognize standard situations and issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity in resolving routine and standard business problems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.
