About the Role
Responsible for compliance-related components of internal controls, including regulations, data quality, process design, and communication for an assigned area, under broad supervision.
Responsibilities
- Implements compliance mechanisms and protocols, internal controls, and regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
- Measures and monitors compliance to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares compliance reports for management.
- Supports development of compliance-related training tools and programs.
- Provides compliance or technical support for business or corporate strategic initiatives.
- Partners with business units and departments like Internal Audit, IT, and Legal to support compliance accountabilities.
- Stays current on industry trends and developments.
- Explains facts, policies, and practices related to compliance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and procedures.
- Good understanding of process development and process improvement techniques and methodologies.
- Good understanding of project management practices and procedures.
- Ability to recognize standard situations and issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity in resolving routine and standard business problems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.
