About the Role

News Corp is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Accounting Manager who will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, oversight of corporate books and records, and will play an integral part in the implementation of special projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, review and/or prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis
• Oversee the monthly/quarterly financial close process including the preparation of P&L, Cash Flow Statements, detailed analytics and account roll forwards
• Oversee all domestic and foreign intercompany accounts including confirmation of balances and maintaining correspondence with divisional counterparts
• Prepare various ad hoc reports, investigate balances, research accounting treatment
• Oversee accounts payable transactions
• Coordinate SOX 404 Testing and Reporting
• Assist in compliance with Internal/External Audits

Requirements

• Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects and manage their time efficiently
• Must be able to work well in group environment, be committed to meeting strict deadlines, and willing to work long hours as needed
• Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups across a large organization
• Looking for a quick learning Team player that is highly motivated and energetic

Skills

• Advanced Excel Skills required
• Ledger experience (SAP a plus)
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages

• Hybrid in office a minimum of 3 days per week

Experience Level

• 5+ years accounting experience in either public or private (supervisory experience a plus)

Education Level

• BA/BS in Accounting

Salary/Compensations

• $120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus
