About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize downtime. This role offers opportunities to build skills on various equipment, develop a career track in service or operations management, and work within a safety-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform diagnostics on equipment.
• Make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
• Physical demands require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required.
