About the Role
Responsible for facilitating complex projects from proposal through post-implementation, serving as a Subject Matter Expert in assigned systems within 18 months.
Responsibilities
- Prepare well-documented functional specifications, test plans, and test cases.
- Conduct research and analysis of complex data to ensure accuracy of functional design.
- Mentor less experienced staff in application training, research analysis, and project methodology.
- Serve as functional lead on complex projects for assigned applications.
- Schedule and facilitate project team meetings, documenting and distributing minutes.
- Meet with business clients to understand application change requirements and provide feedback.
- Participate in design discussions and deliver required functional specifications.
- Coordinate and provide estimates for large projects, including timelines and phases.
- Consult and advise on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to understand project functionality and implementation.
- Serve as Test Coordinator for large project initiatives involving multiple applications.
- Participate in and document data mapping for system integration, conversion, and acquisition projects.
- Prepare test plans and scripts based on functional specifications.
- Manage and/or execute test cases to verify changes and enhancements.
- Serve as functional lead with other project team members on impacting systems.
- Monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure project scope and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to business requirements and Corporate Technology standards.
- Ensure change requests are consistently documented, reviewed, and resolved.
- Ensure efficient and timely resolution of issues arising from testing or implementation.
- Coordinate and manage post-implementation activities, including feedback, issue resolution, and debrief.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

- Maintain M&T internal control standards and implement audit points and regulatory requirements.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.
- Existing experience with Patch Management, including governance processes, runbooks, patch workflows, and established relationships across teams.
- Experience with patch management dashboard, reporting, and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous process improvements.

- Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software packages.

- Advanced understanding of applications supported with a sound knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications.
- Advanced knowledge and focus of the entire system to work on projects outside of normal BAU.
- Ability to effectively use project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent understanding of the Bank’s application framework.
- Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.
- Ability to understand business(es) being supported and its’ terminology.
- Ability to effectively present to all levels of management.
- Ability to multitask for various components of complex projects.
- Ability to coordinate between applications and business units.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
