About the Role

Maven is seeking a VP of Member Growth to drive member enrollment into Maven's programs, directly impacting revenue. This role owns the end-to-end enrollment process, from awareness to activation, and requires collaboration across multiple functions including Client Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, Data, Clinical, and Operations. The position is a player-coach role, demanding hands-on involvement in data analysis, funnel pressure-testing, and execution, alongside leading a high-caliber team. The ideal candidate will also develop innovative strategies for enrollment growth beyond current optimization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Own member growth for the Core Business, accountable for enrollment targets and revenue.
  • Set strategy, build plans, and act as a control tower across cross-functional teams driving revenue.
  • Build and run a scalable enrollment engine covering the full journey from eligible population to enrolled, activated member.
  • Expand the playbook and deliver new strategies for sustainable member growth beyond current optimization work.
  • Identify, size, and open new avenues for growth.
  • Optimize relentlessly around data by building and iterating on the funnel and creating systems for quick diagnoses.
  • Build operational metrics as leading KPIs for teams contributing to enrollments.
  • Hold the cross-functional machine accountable by partnering daily with various teams and ensuring accountability to operational KPIs.
  • Serve as the connective tissue for the enrollment process.
  • Operate as a player-coach, leading and developing a team while staying hands-on in execution.
  • Set the bar for rigor and hands-on execution by doing the work and coaching through it.
  • Instrument and forecast by partnering with Data and Finance to build measurement, segmentation, attribution, and forecasting systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience driving growth, enrollment, acquisition, or revenue outcomes.
  • Track record of personally owning and hitting a number.
  • Experience ideally in healthcare, benefits, marketplaces, consumer subscription, or a similar environment with a complex funnel and multiple stakeholders.
  • A hands-on player-coach energized by daily details (data, funnel, plan, execution).
  • Elite quantitative ability as a core competency, including building and interrogating funnel models, sizing opportunities, and designing experiments.
  • Strategic range to spot and pursue fundamentally new approaches to enrollment.
  • Proven ability in cross-functional leadership and accountability to align and mobilize teams without direct authority.
  • Commercial instincts to understand how enrollment translates into revenue and unit economics.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with high visibility and direct accountability for a top-line company metric.
