About the Role
The Assistant Site Manager supports their manager with all Post Retail Outlet and Operations in their assigned building. This role supervises all employees assigned to the Operations and Outlet team, overseeing day-to-day operations and administrative functions.
Responsibilities
- Assists in managing all aspects of outlet, recycling, and dock operations.
- Assists in managing equipment status, repairs, maintenance, and safety within Post Retail.
- Recruits, selects, develops, evaluates, and counsels assigned employees, terminating in accordance with Goodwill policies and HR coordination.
- Manages and supervises staff activities to ensure departmental goals, budgets, and objectives are met.
- Manages all personnel in accordance with applicable company policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Attends meetings with other GCT departments, outside agencies, or other organizations as required.
- Maintains a professional work environment and appropriate standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization for fleet and warehouse operations.
- Ensures monthly revenue and expenses are in line with budget and adjusts operations as necessary to meet goals.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and professional development for the assigned team, modeling expected behavior.
- Maintains a positive relationship with management, peers, and subordinates, encouraging interactions between departments.
- Promotes the Mission of Goodwill.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Displays the highest ethical standards when making decisions related to people and business.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, recycling, or a similar field with supervisory responsibilities of 50+ employees.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual preferred.
- Excellent analytical, creative, and flexible problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates maturity of practice using the 5 pillars and principles of servant leadership.
- Possesses understanding of marginalization and its impact on those Goodwill serves and employs.
- Exhibits respect for diversity of thought and experience to advance it in teams/organization.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
- Ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Post-offer background check is required.
