About the Role

We are seeking a high-energy Enrichment Teacher to provide New York City’s 0 to 6-year-olds with a foundation for lifelong learning through our incredible enrichment classes. In this "jack of all trades" role, you are part athlete, part scientist, and part performer, seamlessly transitioning from spotting a budding gymnast to leading a "mad science" experiment or coaching a parent and toddler. As a natural storyteller with a flair for the dramatic and a heart for early childhood development, you will turn every lesson into a core memory, ensuring our youngest learners feel confident, inspired, and excited to explore the world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and co-lead a dynamic range of classes for children ages 0 to 6.
  • Pivot between diverse classes and age groups to keep lessons fresh.
  • Use structured and unstructured play, art, music, gymnastics, and STEM to build a child’s confidence and coordination.
  • Curate a "safe to fail" environment where challenges are celebrated as leaps in learning.
  • Master the art of the transition and "behind-the-scenes" flow.
  • Reset gym circuits, organize classrooms, and assist teammates.
  • Tackle daily operations with a "ready-for-anything" attitude.
  • Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing successes and challenges.
  • Build a bridge between school and home.
  • Ensure a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Anticipate classroom needs and prepare resources in advance.
  • Execute smooth, efficient transitions between classes and activities.
  • Cultivate trust-based relationships with students, families, and the internal team.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with all Department of Health requirements.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood (or someone who is studying) is preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of formal teaching experience in early childhood (ages 0-6).
  • Camp, pre-k, after-school, and other enrichment experiences are preferred.
  • Experience teaching music, dance, gymnastics, or yoga is a plus.
  • Be a passionate teacher and lifelong learner.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required.
