About the Role

NetApp’s Cloud Storage & Services division seeks a Principal Product Manager to define and drive the strategy, architecture, and execution of generative and agentic AI platforms. This senior individual contributor role requires a recognized product leader with company-level strategic impact, deep technical credibility, and the ability to shape outcomes across multiple teams and stakeholders. You will set the multi-year vision for AI-powered services built on NetApp’s data infrastructure and serve as a thought leader for enterprise-grade agentic systems, LLM-based platforms, and AI-driven user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end AI strategy for ANF, including problem selection, success metrics, phased delivery, and competitive positioning.
  • Prioritize investments across performance, scale, data services, protocol and API surfaces, and operational excellence for AI pipelines.
  • Drive requirements for AI-centric scenarios such as training and inference data planes, RAG and enterprise search, agentic workflows, large multimodal and enterprise datasets, and analytics/simulation adjacencies.
  • Partner with Microsoft teams across Azure AI/Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, AKS, GPU infrastructure, and data/analytics services.
  • Align ANF’s AI story with Azure-wide AI data guidance and reference architectures.
  • Lead across engineering, product marketing, sales, customer success, and professional services to ship capabilities and repeatable reference architectures.
  • Engage strategic customers and design partners to validate pain points, quantify value, and de-risk roadmap bets.
  • Monitor AI infrastructure trends and competitor moves to identify differentiated bets.
  • Represent ANF as a credible technical executive in briefings, advisory councils, and industry forums.
  • Tailor AI storage strategy for segments where file semantics and performance matter, including semiconductor/EDA, manufacturing, healthcare imaging, financial services, energy, media & entertainment, and HPC/simulation.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of product management experience, including ownership of large-scale, enterprise-grade platforms or cloud services.
  • Proven track record of defining and scaling AI-powered products.
  • Hands-on experience in Generative AI and large language models.
  • Hands-on experience in Agentic systems and autonomous workflows.
  • Hands-on experience in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Hands-on experience in Model orchestration, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience in Enterprise data platforms, vector databases, search, and knowledge graphs.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and deeply technical levels.
  • History of influencing VP- and C-level stakeholders through clear product strategy, storytelling, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business judgment, systems thinking, and comfort navigating ambiguity at scale.
