About the Role
The Guest Services Team Member provides the first point of contact for all guests, offering excellent customer service and demonstrating extensive knowledge of the facility's programs and offerings. This seasonal, part-time, outdoor role at the Winter Village at Bryant Park Ice Rink includes responsibilities such as hostess, skate rental, bag check, and general guest services.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide information and wayfinding.
- Provide courteous and friendly first-in-class service to all guests.
- Check in guests and look up ticket information.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and team member information.
- Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints or direct to the appropriate Manager.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures.
- Fill out bag check tickets.
- Take and retrieve guest's personal belongings.
- Pass out skates to guests.
- Return skates to skate racks.
- Disinfect and clean skates upon return.
- Use skate sharpening equipment to sharpen skates.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks within the department.
- Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be willing to test for Fire Guard Certification.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
- Must be respectful and friendly to athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow team members.
- Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and venue.
- Commitment to the safety and well-being of others.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high.
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend.
- Will be required to operate a computer, tablets, and cell phone.
