About the Role

Austin Country Club is seeking a full-time Lead Assistant Golf Professional to help lead daily operations, improve member golf skills, and maintain the club's reputation. This role offers growth potential into a head professional position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the private golf facility, ensuring high standards.
• Manage MGA events and tournament logistics, including scheduling, budgets, and member communication.
• Coordinate with other assistant professionals on tournament management.
• Step in for the lead professional in their absence.
• Train and schedule retail shop staff.
• Play golf with members to maintain competitive skills.
• Help coordinate summer camps and junior programs.
• Assist with inventory counts, demonstrations, supply purchasing, and cash tracking.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Requirements

• PGA Class A membership.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Desire to grow into a head golf professional.
• Clean, presentable appearance and professional demeanor with members.
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers and department leaders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of USGA handicaps.
• Schedule flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• 88% of lessons paid for (estimated $10,000 to $15,000/year)
