About the Role

Lupa is building an AI-native operating system for veterinary practices and pet parents, aiming to replace fragmented systems with an intelligent platform for scheduling, client communication, clinical documentation, and AI-driven care guidance. This role is crucial for managing the employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth HR operations in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle end-to-end, from offer through to exit.
• Build and run a best-in-class onboarding experience.
• Own HR compliance, including right-to-work checks, visa sponsorship administration, GDPR, and employment law.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, and produce necessary reports.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries regarding policies and processes.
• Continuously improve HR processes and raise the bar on people operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an HR Manager, People Operations Manager, or HR Advisor role.
• Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and the operational mechanics of the employee lifecycle.
• Experience managing right-to-work processes.
• Experience managing visa sponsorship administration (ideal).
• Comfortable owning HR systems and maintaining employee data quality.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment (nice to have).
• CIPD qualification or equivalent hands-on experience (nice to have).
