About the Role
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department, ensuring the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice for high-quality healthcare services. This role involves staff development, operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department.
- Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff.
- Estimates personnel needs, assigns work, and ensures completion dates are met.
- Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies.
- Dispenses prescriptions and counsels patients following the Kinney Standard of Practice.
- Performs quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescription dispensing.
- Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner.
- Follows State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy.
- Oversees third-party claims submission, resubmission, and collection.
- Manages and balances pharmacy inventory for maximum turns while maintaining stock levels.
- Oversees the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders.
- Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of returns.
- Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained according to guidelines.
- Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is utilized to its fullest potential.
- Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees.
- Ensures all loss prevention policies are followed and reports deviations.
- Assists in the execution and implementation of corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
- Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and health service professionals.
- Maintains awareness of developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
- Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
- Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating within them.
- Assists in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel.
- Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies.
- Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- $65.00 - $74.05 an hour
