About the Role
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas, including front and back of house, according to casino standards. All duties must be performed in accordance with Seneca Gaming Corporation policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of in-house facilities.
- Empty and provide clean ashtrays in the casino and hotel lobby regularly.
- Clean, wash, and disinfect all floors, sinks, and commodes in bathrooms, conducting routine inspections.
- Wipe and clean all gaming devices regularly.
- Perform laundry/linen receipt and distribution duties.
- Discard soiled cups and other items throughout the casino regularly.
- Responsible for the cleaning and stocking needs of assigned casino areas.
- Work with various cleaning agents.
- Maintain a current understanding of information security policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations are subject to change.
- Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- Must be familiar with the proper use of all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and the business community in all situations.
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
