About the Role
Provides direct or indirect patient care in accordance with treatment plans, assisting with tasks for the general management and organization of the patient care unit, while being flexible to meet patient and/or unit needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and indirect activities to facilitate unit functioning.
- Participate as a member of the care delivery team.
- Provide safe and competent care for patients regarding nutritional, skin integrity, elimination, and hygiene needs, including bathing, grooming, and changing bed linens.
- Take patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and pain level.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, compassion, and support for patients and their families.
- Exhibit exceptional communication with care delivery team members, modeling teamwork.
- Assist with ambulation, feeding, transferring, or lifting of patients.
- Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
- Perform clerical duties, including transcription and maintenance of patient charts.
- Assist patients with mobility, such as sitting, standing, and walking.
- Stock rooms, handle medications, sharps, and syringes on the OR field (Cath lab only).

- Minimum age requirement: 18.
