About the Role

SAIC is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control Instructor to join the Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Greater Rochester Intl ATCT/TRACON (ROC) in Rochester, NY. This role supports air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), requiring strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures. The position involves delivering high-quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to various students, potentially including mentoring and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

Deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training.
Provide mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
Participate in curriculum design and development.
Obtain radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities.

Requirements

Demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures.
Must be able to obtain radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.
