About the Role
The Capital Markets Associate will support the advancement of capital raising, execution, and modeling opportunities within Palmetto Capital, a division focused on democratizing the renewable energy industry through financial products for homeowners and solar professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding.
- Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders.
- Report on Palmetto Finance activities to key financial stakeholders and partner with technology teams to automate reports.
- Enhance existing processes and workflows for greater efficiency in partnership with teams like Data Analytics and Operations.
- Liaise with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure partnership and transparency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key banks and external partners.
- Anticipate customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in banking or capital markets.
- Experience in the solar industry and structured finance is strongly preferred.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements across systems and processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment with changing priorities.
- Seamless collaboration with internal teams in Finance & Accounting, Technology, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders.
