About the Role
C.J. Hughes Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Flagging and Traffic Control Technician to ensure safe vehicle movement around construction sites. This role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic using hand signals and signs around construction zones.
- Coordinate with other flaggers via two-way radio for traffic flow.
- Inform the construction crew of traffic issues impacting safety.
- Place warning and detour signs at construction sites.
- Set up and remove barricades, cones, and barriers.
- Perform prolonged lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
- Maintain awareness in hazardous areas near heavy equipment.
- Be flexible with schedules and locations, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ensure reliable transportation to job sites.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must have a clean background and Motor Vehicle record.
- Must be willing to travel to each job location.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
