About the Role
The Part-Time Site Coordinator is the on-site leader for the KIPP Global Kids afterschool program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students. This role involves co-supervising Group Leaders, designing student workshops, and liaising with school stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site point person for all program operations and logistics.
- Co-supervise Group Leaders, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
- Monitor staff performance and assist with scheduling, attendance, and coverage needs.
- Design and facilitate interactive, age-appropriate workshops.
- Collaborate with staff to implement curriculum and enrichment activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for school administrators, teachers, and families.
- Maintain open and professional communication with school stakeholders.
- Address and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with program policies, safety procedures, and attendance tracking.
- Support data collection and reporting efforts.
- Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and site cleanliness.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or youth development setting.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to design and lead engaging workshops and activities.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.
Skills
- Experience in curriculum development or enrichment programming.
- Familiarity with KIPP or similar charter school environments.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus.
