About the Role

This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility support equipment at the Cazenovia, NY facility.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner, minimizing downtime.
  • Identify and propose solutions for danger and safety hazards.
  • Maintain compliance with state, county, and city ordinances, codes, and laws.
  • Utilize CMMS system Upkeep for work orders and real-time record keeping.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance during production on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently or as part of a team.
  • Handle Hazardous Waste in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow and support all safety practices, including wearing proper PPE, adhering to SOPs, complying with safety signs, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices, and reporting all safety incidents.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Current or previously forklift certified.
  • Previous experience with vacuum deposition equipment preferred.
  • General knowledge of industry maintenance and repair practices.
  • Ability to work independently and plan work without direct supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components on industrial or commercial equipment.
  • For Second shift maintenance technicians: Must complete six months of training on first shift and demonstrate the ability to work independently on second shift with minimal supervision.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
