About the Role
This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility support equipment at the Cazenovia, NY facility.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner, minimizing downtime.
- Identify and propose solutions for danger and safety hazards.
- Maintain compliance with state, county, and city ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Utilize CMMS system Upkeep for work orders and real-time record keeping.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance during production on equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently or as part of a team.
- Handle Hazardous Waste in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Follow and support all safety practices, including wearing proper PPE, adhering to SOPs, complying with safety signs, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices, and reporting all safety incidents.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Current or previously forklift certified.
- Previous experience with vacuum deposition equipment preferred.
- General knowledge of industry maintenance and repair practices.
- Ability to work independently and plan work without direct supervision.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components on industrial or commercial equipment.
- For Second shift maintenance technicians: Must complete six months of training on first shift and demonstrate the ability to work independently on second shift with minimal supervision.
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
