About the Role

Candidate must interpret electrical engineering documents to construct electrical panels and control systems for various furnace types. The role involves proficiency with devices like VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and servo drives, performing electrical construction, assembly, testing, and assisting with equipment start-up. Additionally, the role includes handling electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for facility manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, modify, and update Retech industrial control and power systems.
  • Fabricate and install various types of wire, cable, conduit, and cable tray systems.
  • Perform equipment testing and checkout activities at the factory and/or at the end user’s installation site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Familiar with the tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
  • Familiar with installation of process control instrumentation used in the measurement of vacuum, pressure, temperature, and flow.
  • Familiar with electrical soldering for shielded cable assemblies.
  • Adhere to the codes and principles of NFPA 79, UL508A, and the NEC.
  • Familiar with the use of standard meters and test equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle tasks outside the electrical trade.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software and Word Processing software.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear, and talk.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands.
  • The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear.
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
