About the Role

The Socio-Therapist facilitates the ABC plan with Foster Children and Foster Parents, acting as a key member of the EFFC team. This role involves participating in all planning meetings for children on the caseload and assisting foster parents by resolving issues related to the child's well-being in the home, school, or community.

Responsibilities

• Visit with the child weekly, with two visits occurring in the foster home.
• Provide services to children and foster parents on an individual, group, and emergency basis.
• Offer ongoing individual crisis support in both the foster home and school.
• Design, implement, and monitor behavior modification plans (ABC Model).
• Participate as a team member in all planning meetings for children on the caseload.
• Complete progress notes in CONNECTIONS in a timely manner.
• Work with foster parents in a supportive, professional manner.
• Assist with transporting child/youth as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be able to use a computer and learn software programs.
• Must be able to operate a fax, copier, scan, and other office equipment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language.
• Must be able to write in the English language using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• May frequently lift 0-25 lbs., occasionally lift 25-50 lbs., and rarely lift over 50 lbs.
• May frequently push/pull 0-25 lbs. of force, occasionally push/pull 26-45 lbs. force, and rarely push/pull over 45 lbs.
• Required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the work day.
• May occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
