About the Role

The Helper performs duties and operations to assist drivers in completing customer routes, focusing on exceptional customer service and adherence to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential and/or commercial containers into truck manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers that are staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout to complete service.
• Operates hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopper.
• Places serviced bins back in their original upright position with covers.
• Assists driver with all backing maneuvers while on route.
• Loads trash and recycling into a rear load truck in fluctuating weather conditions.
• Lifts 50 pounds constantly throughout the day while maintaining stamina for a physically demanding position.
• Maintains a safe working environment.
• Works in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry.
• Communicates professionally with customers and other employees.
• Participates in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge.
• Performs other duties as needed to support company vision, mission, and core values.

Requirements

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs constantly throughout the day.
• Ability to work under various weather conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Proven work ethic.
• Proven commitment to safety.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing, including a drug screen.
