About the Role

This role is responsible for performing functions associated with manufacturing operations, including set-up and calibration tasks, rework, and quality testing. The position involves using sophisticated programs to evaluate operating data, making adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment, and developing methods to control or modify manufacturing processes. The Specialist will also work with engineers in conducting experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and decipher recorded test data.
  • Create, revise, and maintain test plans, procedures, and reports for Qualification & Production programs.
  • Run and program Electrodynamic vibration shakers and thermal chambers.
  • Manage and execute qualification test programs.
  • Write, maintain, and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) on a wide variety of electromechanic systems.
  • Execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) on a wide variety of electromechanic systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting on top level and component level units.
  • Assist other engineers perform engineering test & evaluations (ET&E) for R&D and production programs.
  • Provide feedback to test engineers to improve test processes/methodologies.
  • Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of Vibration & Thermal test testing and programming.
  • Experience with hand & power tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary/Compensations

  • Min $88,500.00 - $164,500.00 Max in NYC areas
  • $76,500.00 Min - $142,500.00 Max in New York state
