About the Role
Lead enterprise data layer engineer for a strategic Front-to-Back transformation program. Define the enterprise canonical data model, integration standards, event schemas, API standards, and connectivity patterns to simplify over 100+ system integrations across Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, Treasury, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting. This role owns the enterprise data layer, data strategy, event taxonomy, and integration governance while ensuring scalable, reusable, and consistent data exchange across the organization.

- Define enterprise canonical data architecture
- Drive adoption of ISDA CDM and enterprise data standards
- Establish enterprise business glossary and semantic consistency
- Define golden sources and system-of-record strategy
- Standardize data ownership and stewardship
- Design and govern Kafka topic taxonomy
- Design and govern event contracts and schemas
- Design and govern Schema Registry governance
- Design and govern event versioning strategy
- Design and govern replay and recovery standards
- Design and govern dead-letter queue (DLQ) strategy
- Design and govern event enrichment and routing
- Establish reusable patterns for real-time event streaming
- Establish reusable patterns for synchronous REST APIs
- Establish reusable patterns for asynchronous messaging
- Establish reusable patterns for Change Data Capture (CDC)
- Establish reusable patterns for batch integration
- Establish reusable patterns for file-based transfers
- Establish reusable patterns for Request/Reply messaging
- Establish reusable patterns for Publish/Subscribe
- Establish reusable patterns for Event Notification
- Establish reusable patterns for Command messaging
- Lead implementation of trade events
- Lead implementation of position events
- Lead implementation of market data events
- Lead implementation of reference data
- Lead implementation of counterparty data
- Lead implementation of settlement events
- Lead implementation of cash events
- Lead implementation of collateral events
- Lead implementation of margin events
Requirements
- 15+ years in enterprise architecture, data architecture, or integration engineering
- 10+ years in capital markets or investment banking
- Proven leadership of large-scale transformation programs
- Experience defining enterprise-wide data models and integration standards
- Deep understanding of Front-to-Back trade lifecycles across multiple asset classes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Industry certifications in cloud, enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), or data architecture are advantageous

- Experience implementing enterprise streaming platforms that connect Front Office through Operations and Finance in real time
