About the Role

Contributes to the success of U.S. Treasury by executing goals and plans to support team strategies. Ensures compliance with regulations and policies. Builds and maintains relationships with U.S. GBM businesses to optimize liquidity, balance sheet positioning, and drive profitable balance sheet growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develops scope, structure, and reporting for US Treasury liquidity and balance sheet management reports, including analysis and recommendations for efficiency improvements.
  • Supports the production and analysis of US liquidity metrics forecasting, ensuring alignment with Head Office and Business Lines.
  • Liaises with major business lines to reconcile, analyze, and improve US Treasury reports, including building out US Governance, roles, responsibilities, and reporting.
  • Collaborates with business lines and stakeholders to review and structure business expansion and new initiatives from a liquidity and balance sheet management perspective.
  • Supports the U.S. ALCO secretary in preparing, coordinating, and distributing U.S. ALCO and management committee materials.
  • Contributes to the enhancement of Balance Sheet Management operating processes and management reporting capabilities, focusing on liquidity forecast back testing, liquidity management, and interest rate risk management.
  • Enhances the intraday and collateral management framework as it relates to Reg YY EPS.
  • Adheres to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to US Treasury.
  • Supports the development and deployment of strategies to mitigate liquidity risks and optimize balance sheet management.
  • Pursues effective and efficient operations, ensuring adequacy and adherence to business controls for operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk.
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Champions a high-performance and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, or economics preferred; non-business degree with CFA acceptable.
  • Strong analytical skills with extensive facility in PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Axiom, and Bloomberg.
  • Ability to be precise, multi-task, and be detail-oriented.
  • Strong knowledge of and prior experience in Treasury, Liquidity Management, and/or Liquidity Reporting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
