About the Role
ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), a leading national practice, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for its Garden City office.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in person or by phone and route inquiries.
- Prepare patients for appointments by directing them to exam rooms.
- Verify and record patient information, including medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office lab testing.
- Maintain sterile instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Educate patients on medications and provide instructions.
- Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience.
