About the Role
Plan, schedule and oversee the execution of all electrical maintenance activities in the plant to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all electrical work performed by technicians or contractors is safe and meets regulations.
- Lead the Electrical Safe Work Practices (ESWP) and Energy Isolation (EI) programs.
- Oversee maintenance of process instrumentation for environmental compliance.
- Oversee maintenance of quality instrumentation for quality control.
- Inform the Maintenance Manager of all electrical department issues, including union matters, budget compliance, equipment reliability, and inter-department coordination.
- Develop and maintain the electrical and computer control system Predictive/Preventive Maintenance program.
- Daily monitor plant electrical equipment for reliability through physical inspections and process monitoring.
- Prioritize, plan, schedule, and assign electrical and control system work, coordinating with other departments.
- Follow up on work effectiveness and initiate corrective measures.
- Maintain electrical documentation, including master equipment files, regulatory compliance files, equipment specifications, and repair history.
- Assist in electrical budget development and maintain budget compliance.
- Collaborate with the PLT to determine improvement activity priorities and budgeting.
- Evaluate computer control equipment and components to ensure they meet plant requirements.
- Define, write, and implement process control programs.
- Provide control system training and guidance for plant personnel.
- Troubleshoot control system hardware and software problems.
- Manage improvements documentation.
- Actively manage plant improvement activities and support CAPEX as needed.
- Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and exhibit safety behaviors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical supervision and project experience.
- PLC programming experience.
- Knowledge of HMI systems.
- Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators.
- Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
