About the Role
Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. seeks an Associate in New York, NY to prepare and execute mergers and acquisitions transactions and capital market transactions, with specialized knowledge and industry focus on Real Estate, Data Centers, Gaming, Lodging, and Leisure sector.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute mergers and acquisitions transactions and capital market transactions.
- Perform advanced financial modeling and analysis, including cash flow projections, scenario and sensitivity analyses, valuation modeling (DCF, IRR, and NPV), and capital structure assessment.
- Apply detailed valuation methods including discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout modeling, sum of parts and comparables transactions analysis across equity and debt products in real estate and related sub-sectors.
- Collaborate with potential equity investors and debt providers in addressing diligence questions and refinancing, including conducting industry and company-specific due diligence.
- Prepare complex materials for real estate deals including investor presentations, board materials and related memos for real estate assets and portfolios.
- Monitor industry trends and fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments in the real estate sector through comprehensive analysis of financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications and company sources.
- Build complex models and business analysis using Microsoft Excel and Argus.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience performing advanced financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience with cash flow projections, scenario and sensitivity analyses, valuation modeling (DCF, IRR, and NPV), and capital structure assessment.
- Experience applying detailed valuation methods including discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout modeling, sum of parts and comparables transactions analysis across equity and debt products in real estate and related sub-sectors.
- Experience collaborating with potential equity investors and debt providers in addressing diligence questions and refinancing, including conducting industry and company-specific due diligence.
- Experience preparing complex materials for real estate deals including investor presentations, board materials and related memos for real estate assets and portfolios.
- Experience monitoring industry trends and fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments in the real estate sector through comprehensive analysis of financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications and company sources.
