About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Contributes to the plan of patient care and assists in providing a therapeutic environment. Functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Contributes to the plan of patient care.
- Assists in providing a therapeutic environment.
- Functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.
- Willing to travel and provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- BLS certification.
- Current Licensure and registration as a LPN in New York State.
- Knowledge in principles of infection control, performance improvements, and delegation.
- Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations.
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
