About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Contributes to the plan of patient care and assists in providing a therapeutic environment. Functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Contributes to the plan of patient care.
  • Assists in providing a therapeutic environment.
  • Functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.
  • Willing to travel and provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • BLS certification.
  • Current Licensure and registration as a LPN in New York State.
  • Knowledge in principles of infection control, performance improvements, and delegation.
  • Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations.
  • All roles require on-site presence.
  • Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
