About the Role
The Postdoctoral Fellow will investigate the assembly mechanism of protein condensates in cancer signaling within the College of Pharmacy. Research in the Guan lab is interdisciplinary, combining cell biology, quantitative imaging, and biomaterials. The position offers the opportunity to learn cutting-edge cell imaging techniques and apply protein biochemistry or cell biology techniques to biophysics questions, including novel cancer mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Investigate the assembly mechanism of protein condensates
- Manuscript preparation for scientific publication
- Generate data and participate in scientific writing to contribute to federal grant applications
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- PhD must have been received within three years of the start date
- Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific research and report in the form of original research publications
