About the Role
This role serves as a strategic advisor to operations leadership, translating financial results into actionable operational decisions. You will own the operating forecast for a portfolio of locations, focusing on the conversations and insights derived from the data, including automation and AI integration into forecasting and reporting workflows.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the finance partner to a group of operating leaders.
- Connect financial results to operational levers such as staffing, capacity, pricing, service mix, and retention.
- Diagnose variances to operational root cause and provide recommended actions.
- Pressure-test growth initiatives, capital requests, and new service offerings with clear economics.
- Build financial fluency in supported operators.
- Own the monthly and quarterly operating forecast for an assigned portfolio.
- Build and maintain driver-based models grounded in operating metrics.
- Lead forecast review conversations.
- Support the annual budget and long-range planning cycles.
- Build and improve recurring reporting and executive materials.
- Identify and eliminate manual work in planning and reporting through automation or AI.
Requirements
- 2-3 years in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, or a comparable analytical role.
- Advanced Excel with strong financial modeling skills.
- Strong PowerPoint skills for creating clear executive presentations.
- Ability to trace financial outcomes to operational decisions and explain them clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Comfort working with imperfect data and exercising judgment on data usability.
- Curiosity about AI and automation with a track record of self-teaching tools.
- Directness in providing opinions and answers.
