About the Role

The Security Director is responsible for the comprehensive management, implementation, coordination, and leadership of all security aspects within the designated area, ensuring alignment with Richemont Europe Physical Security strategy and Group Directives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of the UK Security structure, organization, and processes with Richemont requirements.
  • Tailor Richemont guidelines and procedures to comply with local laws, regulations, and the prevailing security context.
  • Localize PS procedures for retail back office operations and General Security Operating Procedures (GSOPs) to address local threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain regular communication with Richemont Europe regarding critical PS processes.
  • Foster collaboration among Richemont Europe Physical Security, Richemont Local functions, Local Brands, and external suppliers.
  • Develop and implement procedures to prevent fraud and theft, collaborating with relevant brands and functional heads.
  • Provide strategic guidance and lead a compliance management program to ensure adherence to PS directives and local legislation.
  • Oversee timely follow-up on PSHS audits and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal and external investigations pertaining to incidents of fraud, theft, and accidents.
  • Implement Group and Regional directives concerning operational and situational risk assessments and management.
  • Ensure all boutiques adhere to Richemont Security Boutique Directives and standards, or possess approved exemptions and a remediation plan.
  • Develop and implement a security training program for boutique staff.
  • Oversee regular security audits within boutiques to cultivate a strong security culture and mitigate threats.
  • Oversee integrations of brands not in scope and align them to Richemont standards.
  • Develop a security concept for new construction and renovation projects based on Security Guidelines and risk analysis.
  • Verify compliance of new construction and renovation projects with established construction guidelines.
  • Collaborate with regional PS teams to validate proposed security concepts.
  • Engage with vendors to procure quotations for security equipment and services.
  • Ensure all new projects undergo a security and safety review to provide project managers with PS layout requirements, equipment specifications, and operational processes.
  • Ensure the establishment of a PS training plan for new staff.
  • Verify that preventative and reactive maintenance for all PS systems is appropriately contracted and executed.
  • Ensure adherence to Richemont's security requirements for Local Head Office, RCS Platform & Warehouses.
  • Execute, implement, and provide training on Security Operational Procedures for designated locations.
  • Validate security concepts and assess supplier performance for Head Office, RCS Platform & Warehouses.
  • Coordinate and ensure security concepts for events align with Group event directives.
  • Oversee and control the effective implementation of event security concepts.
  • Foster effective collaboration with external security suppliers.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality through Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Build a strong network with Police, other luxury brands security departments, and other local security entities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal directives governing the transportation of cash and valuables.
  • Define and develop security measures for staff protection.
  • Develop and disseminate periodic communications to staff concerning security topics and incident prevention recommendations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide preventive measures for international and domestic travellers.
  • Deliver training to staff on preventive measures to mitigate security-related incidents.
  • Apply Group and Regional incident management directives and policies.
  • Actively lead the UK Incident Management Team and associated program.
  • Provide expert advice to decision-makers on business continuity and security concerns.
  • Manage and develop the Security team, including recruitment, induction, motivation, task assignment, delegation, progress monitoring, performance management, and evaluation.
  • Develop tailored training and development plans for team members.
  • Manage and optimize the Security & Safety budget.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for organizational efficiency.
  • Undertake specific integration projects as required.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive background encompassing a broad spectrum of security program management responsibilities within a multinational organizational context.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in a comparable role for a minimum of three years.
  • Profound knowledge of physical security standards, processes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including practical knowledge of relevant rules.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, evidenced by membership and active participation in pertinent industry associations.
  • A creative and strategic thinker, adept at proactively analysing complex challenges and providing hands-on support.
  • A motivational leader capable of providing clear direction, fostering consensus, and building confidence and trust across diverse cultural environments.
