About the Role

Patient Billing Specialist provides service to patients via incoming phone inquiries, portal inquiries, email, mail and referrals from other MSK departments. The specialist responds completely to the patient’s requests and questions, making every effort to ensure full resolution during one encounter. Specialist ensures they are managing their time throughout the day to be available to answer patient inquiries and prioritizes patient calls to ensure excellent service is being provided. In an effort to fully resolve accounts, specialist often has to call insurance carriers to obtain information, submit appeals or documentation.
