About the Role

As a Night Auditor, you will make our guests feel welcome and reflect the exceptional experience to come when they arrive. Your personalized interactions, care in guest room selection, and knowledge of the hotel will ensure our guests have a lasting memory of their visit, while embracing the values of the Company Culture and Guiding Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests.
  • Provide gracious and efficient telephone service for general PBX calls.
  • Answer calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel services, facilities, and programs, and effectively assist guests.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Arrange fulfillment of guest services by working with housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
  • Stay current with hotel developments by reviewing the communication log book each shift and updating it for the next shift.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating, assisting, and communicating effectively with co-workers.
  • Properly process guest mail, messages, packages, and wake-up calls.
  • Provide concierge service, including fluent knowledge of the area, attractions, restaurants, special events, and guest amenities.
  • Make accommodations for "walked" guests in oversold situations.
  • Ensure wake-up calls are delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Deliver requested items to guestrooms such as rollaway beds, cribs, pillows, towels, and luggage.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly entered on the guest's bill, credit card control procedures are strictly adhered to, and accounts are balanced daily.
  • Accurately close shift by obtaining appropriate approval signatures and authorization codes.
  • Verify and balance daily charges for all departments to guest folios, master accounts, and house accounts, making corrections as necessary.
  • Complete the nightly processing sequence to close the current day's sales.
  • Transmit credit cards nightly.

Requirements

  • Serve as Manager On Duty when required.
  • Work on laundry during downtime.
  • Set up guest breakfast each morning.
  • Inform immediate supervisor promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company associates.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Advanced working knowledge of property management software systems.
  • Working knowledge of switchboard and telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and guest service skills required.
  • Project a favorable image of the Hotel to the public at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
  • Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to move, transport, put, install, remove, replace, position, place, and transfer.
  • Ability to move about or to, position self.
  • Ability to operate, adjust, attach, position, set up, handle, tend to, activate, apply, measure, use, modify, input, compile, retrieve, make, create, collect, inspect, prepare, and service.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate, converse, discern, convey, and discuss.
  • Ability to determine, identify, recognize, perceive, estimate, judge, compare, observe, and assess.
  • Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and be in motion for the full day.
  • Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.
