About the Role
We are seeking a BDR Manager to lead our Americas BDR team from our New York office. This role requires a blend of people development and analytical skills, focusing on owning the outbound pipeline and driving it with data. You will build and optimize a system for outbound sales, including testing messaging, analyzing performance, and coaching the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of BDRs focused on outbound pipeline generation across North and South America.
- Conduct structured 1:1s, live call coaching, and performance reviews.
- Identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability with high standards and support.
- Oversee all outbound channels including cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn prospecting, and multi-touch campaigns.
- Utilize intent signals for prioritized outreach and sharpened targeting.
- Set and track weekly and monthly targets for pipeline volume, meetings booked, and opportunity quality.
- Partner with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs and feedback loops.
- Monitor and improve key channel metrics such as pickup rates, reply rates, and meeting show rates.
- Run A/B tests on messaging, scripts, and cadences.
- Build and maintain dashboards for real-time performance visibility.
- Translate data into actionable insights.
- Refine ICP targeting, persona messaging, and outbound sequences based on data.
- Collaborate with Demand Gen and Marketing to align outbound with inbound signals.
- Provide market intelligence to inform positioning, messaging, and product discussions.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a BDR/SDR management role at a B2B SaaS company with success in lead generation and qualification.
- Extensive experience in leadership, mentorship, hands-on coaching, and building a scalable BDR motion.
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding pipeline targets across the Americas.
- Background in fast-paced, scaling B2B SaaS environments.
- Ability to pinpoint issues in cold calls and provide actionable feedback.
- Skill in building team confidence without creating dependency.
- Ability to differentiate between motivation and skill problems.
- Empathetic and supportive approach to team growth.
- Proficiency in analyzing metrics like pickup rates, reply rates, and sequence step drop-offs.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to tie channel performance to revenue impact.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
- Familiarity with sales engagement and prospecting platforms (e.g., Lemlist, Apollo).
- Experience with data enrichment tools and outbound sequencing workflows.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted prospecting is a plus.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets.
- Adaptable and innovative with a desire to improve processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to balance responsibilities.
- Proactive approach to sales, comfortable with prospecting and outreach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
