About the Role
Seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of insurance coverage experience to join our New York, NY office. The role involves analyzing complex insurance policies and handling coverage-related disputes within the Professional Liability Practice Group, focusing on D&O, E&O, and professional liability cases.
Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance coverage issues involving professional lines claims, including D&O/management liability, and E&O matters.
- Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and other coverage-related communications.
- Evaluate claims, policies, and underlying litigation materials to assess coverage obligations and potential exposure.
- Assist with coverage litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and related litigation materials.
- Advise insurance company clients on coverage matters and collaborate with claims professionals, adjusters, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel and participate in court hearings and oral arguments.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in New York and in good standing.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- At least 3 years of experience handling insurance coverage matters under D&O, E&O or EPL liability policies.
- Experience in a billable-hour environment preferred.
