About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their environmental construction team. This role involves operating various heavy equipment safely and efficiently on diverse project sites.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, compactors, excavators, scrapers, and skid steers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6 years of industry experience or demonstrated equivalency.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- Ability to pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check.
- 100% travel required.
- High adherence to safety procedures.
- Physically able to work in outdoor environments with variable conditions and uneven terrain.
- Ability to work in an environment with heavy, moving dangerous equipment, and occasionally chemicals, radiation, and vibration.
- Frequent operation of construction yellow iron equipment.
- Frequent lifting and occasional carrying/moving/loading of objects up to 45 lbs.
- Frequent standing and moving around project sites.
- Frequent repetitive hand movements and power gripping/squeezing of hand tools and levers.
- Must wear all associated personal protective equipment.
