About the Role
Couriers provide efficient pick-up and delivery services to customers, ensuring compliance with all operational, security, and safety policies. They are a critical component of customer service, aiming to meet service commitments and maximize customer satisfaction while maintaining confidentiality and promoting the organization's mission and philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver items including vaccines, mail, supplies, lab specimens, and bank deposits to assigned locations in a timely manner.
- Drive a defined pick-up and delivery route as scheduled.
- Ensure vaccine and lab deliveries are kept in coolers at the proper temperature and document vaccine deliveries.
- Ensure bank deposits are signed for and delivered to the bank according to company policy and schedule.
- Obey all traffic laws and follow safe traffic and transportation procedures.
- Maintain an on-time delivery schedule while handling occasional STAT requests.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions, including language, attire, and demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area and company vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Notify supervisor of vehicle repair needs.
- Adhere to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct.
- Attend work regularly and dependably.
- Follow company core competencies.
- Participate actively in the Central Distribution team, including cross-training and providing coverage.
- Identify potential efficiencies, implement cost-saving strategies, and improve service.
- Assist in filling requisitions as requested by supervisor.
- Check in deliveries as needed.
- Answer phone calls and take messages as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and excellent driving record.

Work Type
- PRN, as needed
Experience Level
- Two (2) or more years of experience operating vehicles for business purposes (Preferred)
