About the Role

The Credit Control team is hiring a specialist to ensure the completeness and accuracy of credit applications by mastering product knowledge and bank underwriting guidelines. This role is partially operational and designed to create efficiency within the team's daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review borrowing bases and credit applications for accuracy against legal documents.
  • Find data and evidence from various sources, including legal documents, for verification and evidentiary support.
  • Provide feedback to Coverage Teams on submissions, confirm client-based information, and organize data for GBR input.
  • Reformat applications and rewrite/rephrase sections to meet current guidelines and Credit Officer requests.
  • Build and foster rapport with Coverage Teams and Credit Officers to maximize process efficiency.
  • Opine on bottlenecks and issues for process improvements.

Requirements

  • Prior banking experience is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, lead juniors, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Must be able to cover a large volume of work with high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle a large volume of applications and data points with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to communicate and develop rapport with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Willingness to adapt to the ever-changing bank environment.

Skills

  • Credit underwriting knowledge, preferably for subscription finance.
  • Fast learner with high problem-solving skills.
